Rue de Bac Medium Butterflies (1200-0896)
The Rue de Bac Medium Butterflies are lovely encased specimens made of blue paper with black accents that are displayed within a clear glass dome. Sitting atop a wood base in a black finish, the bright sculptural object stands 13” tall. Named for the Parisian street on which a famous French taxidermy is located, the artful butterflies that flutter in this sculpture would feel right at home in that cabinet of curiosities that holds some of the most remarkable wonders of entomology.
